Richnew41Just a bit of info for others..
I had a bit of a scary start to my driving season here in PA... 1st day out last weekend (Sunny and 75) and the engine light came on within 10 minutes of the drive... (Flashing engine light, not solid). Engine was rough at idle on the way home.... I scanned with the OBII and threw a P0306 problem code (Misfire on cylinder 6). The last number of that code refers to the cylinder with the issue... IE: P0304 would mean misfire on cylinder 4.
This code has many possible causes so I started with the easiest known possible problem (The coil).. I swapped the coil from cylinder 6 and placed it cylinder 2 and vise versa... Bingo.... threw a problem code P0302 misfire for cylinder 2. Luckily I happen to have a few extra (New) coils purchased a few years ago and replaced it with the new coil (New spark plugs while I was at it)... Hard part was waiting till this weekend to see if it worked because the weather has be awful again...
So long story short, took it for a 300 mile ride yesterday (Perfect weather) and she ran like a Kat Purring... Issue solved!!!
I know most of you would having this knowledge already... Just posting for someone that may not know...
Hope this finds everyone doing well~!!!
